Menstrual products are obviously not luxuries, but to the eyes of American male politicians, they are. That’s why on October 19th, National Period Day, Tampax will take its 88-year-old brand and take more than just a stand for gender equality. The brand will be rebranded as AMP — quite literally without the luxury T-A-X in order to demonstrate that women’s menstrual products are not a luxury. Period.
